The Role of Yoga in Management of Cancer

Yoga: It is primarily a discipline-based, spiritual art form that unites the body, mind, and pure soul. The Sanskrit root word “Yuj,” which meaning “join,” is where the term “yoga” comes from. Yoga has been practised for years all across the world. It is a condition of liberation known as “Mukti” or “Moksha.” It is a form of treatment used to help people go through all of their pain and suffering. Yoga and pranayam were used in the past to cure a variety of illnesses, and they are being used today to treat illnesses like cancer. Yoga and pranayama are proven to be a gift for those who are stressed, in excruciating pain, or afflicted with any major illness. It has enhanced outcomes, and several studies have been conducted to demonstrate its advantages. Yoga can have a favourable impact on our bodies in a variety of ways, according to various studies. It is an alternative therapy that has been utilised in conjunction with traditional medicine to treat a wide variety of ailments and disorders. Cancer sufferers experience a significant change in their lives that they had never anticipated, making their situation extremely serious, painful, and depressing. All of these circumstances cause anxiety, melancholy, weariness, and rage, and in the worst cases, the patient loses hope for survival. He experiences general discomfort in his life as a result of nausea, vomiting, sleeplessness, and pain. The patient’s quality of life significantly decreases as a result of these disorders. Cancer symptoms, its consequences, and therapeutic problems have all decreased thanks to yoga and meditation therapy.
