The Pollution by Europium-152 in Soil of Kasra and Atash, Iraq

This research was carried out to determine the particular activity of Eu-152 nuclides polluted in soil samples from Kasra and Atash, Baghdad’s Al-Tuwaitha site. In Baghdad, ten samples were taken from various areas under investigation. The observations were made using a gamma-ray spectral analysis technique. NaI(Tl) gamma spectroscopy with 3″3″ scintillation detector setup Specific activity in soil samples under research ranged from 21.450.33 Bq/kg to 96786.8441.84 Bq/kg, with an average of 10039.63 Bq/kg, according to the findings. Soil samples are not safe to deal with and pose a danger or threat to the public.
