This chapter discusses several design criteria for high-power engine crankshafts. Theoretical, numerical FEM – Finite Element Modeling, and experimental approaches will all be taken into account. The designer will be able to boost confidence during the component’s production phase, as well as reliability and structural health, by comparing the three methodologies (Theoretical, Numerical, and Experimental – TNE).
