Study on Squeeze Film Characteristics in Synovial Hip Joint

The general classification of lubrication regimes in synovial hip joints was offered in this paper. The main points of discussion were the calculation of film thickness and minimum film thickness for each of the (hydrodynamic lubrication, squeeze film lubrication, and elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication), as well as the relationship between film thickness and gait cycle (stance phase and swing phase) and coefficient friction. In each lubrication system, physical parameters impacting film thickness for various forms of lubrication will be explored.
