Scientific Research and Innovation Driving Forces: An Advanced Study

The examination of the driving forces affecting scientific research and innovation is presented in this chapter. The designer’s ability to analyse the role of cracks and faults in components, and control them throughout the life of mechanical systems, is critical to the reliability of industrial machines, flying machines, and naval equipment. As a result, mechanical design relies heavily on creativity and scientific research, as well as computational mechanics and advanced design approaches.
