The objective of this paper is to demonstrate how the business federation model may meet ecotourism demands in South Africa during a time of social turmoil, violence, economic decline, and illnesses such as HIV/AIDS and Covid-19 that are wreaking havoc on the industry. We show how, in a worldwide world, ecotourism businesses may become more competitive by eliminating poverty and generating economic rewards at the same time by acting locally. We also show how management can take practical efforts to be on the cutting edge of ecotourism.
