Innovative Developments in Electro-Flocking Technology: An Advanced Study
Original results were acquired in a physically correct study of contact charging and trajectories of movement of short synthetic charged fibres in an inhomogeneous electric field. Their understanding led to the development of a novel theory of pile covering formation. The application of this theory’s recommendations resulted in the development of a method for producing coatings with a surface density of the oriented pile that is an order of magnitude higher than the maximum values achievable on current equipment in our country and abroad. Fundamentally novel ways for manipulating the conductivity of the pile under settings nearly equal to the production conditions in which this parameter is used have also been created.
