The microstructure of the AA2024 alloy weld is strongly dependent on the heat input in the weld in this study, thus it’s important to understand the link between these qualities in order to improve the weld’s mechanical properties. The microstructure of the AA2024 alloy weld is largely dependent on the heat input in the weld, therefore understanding the link between these parameters is critical for improving the mechanical properties of the weld. weld. The effect of the microstructure on the microhardness of the weld in various zones has been determined. Depending on the heat input to the weld, the structure of several weld zones was investigated. As a result, the experiment was carried out with various amounts of external axial force as well as constant speed of tool rotation and welding. The relationship between the temperature gradient and the microhardness and microstructure of the weld zones has been demonstrated in both normal and transverse directions.
