This project aims to examine flexibility in order to improve adaptation to users and to identify some ways for delaying building obsolescence. If flexibility is defined as a system’s ability to be readily adjusted and respond to user needs in a timely and effective manner, it may be thought of as an antidote to obsolescence and a feature of the system that guarantees the system’s life cycle is extended throughout time.
