Assessment of Phytoremediation Ability of Prosopis juliflora and Conocarpus lancifolius on Heavy Metals Contamination of Soils in Jeddah City, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The present study aims towards judging phytoremediation capability of Prosopis juliflora and Conocarpus lanceolins on severe metals (chromium, lead, and coat with metallic material) contaminations of soils at various positions in Jeddah. Soil samples were captured from alike plant sites, familiar workshops, main roads, and arm roads and from a apartment (as control). Soil fabric, pH, and EC and the amount of Cr, Pb, and Ni were supposed for two together plants and soils. Results disclosed that, soil feeling is chiefly arenicolous (78.5-96.5%, 1.0-16.5% sediment, and 1.0-6.0 brick). The amount of form of rock and roll in soil of Prosopis juliflora sites were ‘tween 0.74-54.0μg/g D.wt. for Cr, 0.31-4.64 μg/g D.wt. for Pb and 1.22-24.5 μg/g D.wt. for Ni. The range of Cr, Pb and Ni in the leaves was ‘tween 0.04-13.3.0μg/g D.wt. for Cr, 0.06-20.0 μg/g D.wt. for Pb and 0.16-9.0μg/g D.wt. for Ni. For the soil of Conocarpus lanceolins, the EC categorized betwixt 0.27- 1.05 mS/cm; when in fact, pH categorized from 7.29-7.55. this designated the phytoremediation talent of these two class in lowering severe ingredients in soil and fascinating ruling class in their leaves. . Phytoremediation is an active blueprint to overcome the belongings of burdensome metals containing Cr, Pb, and Ni that are being involved in plants.
