The purpose of this paper is to show how video games, particularly those played within a network connected by the Internet, can contribute to the formation of collective intelligence about a city’s spatialities and urban ways of life. Thus, the article constructs a map of relationships between Video Game Design, Architecture, and Urbanism based on four categories of analysis, presenting games as tools for developing collective intelligence, particularly in light of the widespread use of computers, the Internet, smartphones, and locative media.
